Kizuna Paris Universe
The meaning of the word Kizuna (絆)
At KIZUNA PARIS , each item of clothing is a link.
A link between cultures, between eras, between perspectives.
A link between the intention of a designer and the emotion of the person wearing the piece.
Kizuna (絆) is a Japanese word that is difficult to translate. It refers to deep, invisible but powerful attachments. Thus , our project was built around this idea: connecting Japanese creators with an audience sensitive to quality, history and uniqueness.
A bridge between Paris and Asia
Our ambition transcends borders. We connect Japan to other Asian scenes— Taipei, Hong Kong, Seoul perhaps tomorrow—and to Paris. In this way , the aesthetic demands of the capital resonate differently with these carefully selected pieces.
Rigorous sourcing, a curatorial approach
Our approach is editorial and curatorial.
During our travels, we explored Fukuoka, Kyoto, Osaka, Okayama, Tokyo , and then expanded our search to Hong Kong and Taipei. At each stop , we met with professionals, collectors, and managers of vintage Japanese fashion stores .
Each garment was selected according to precise criteria:
-
Made in Japan manufacturing
-
Strong and avant-garde design
-
Excellent or exceptional condition
-
Noble or innovative materials (Japanese cotton, virgin wool, premium denim)
In addition , we ensure overall consistency, so that our selection reflects the DNA of KIZUNA PARIS : radical, elegant, embodied.
A vision of fashion: demanding and conscious
We believe in a different way of consuming fashion.
Not perfect, but more conscious.
More attentive to what we choose, what we keep, what we pass on.
Our selections are not intended to be neutral: they are the result of travel, encounters and a strong conviction. Indeed , our desire is to offer archive pieces , luxury second-hand clothing and creations designed to last, to be worn, collected or passed on.
Each garment selected is an entry into a story: that of a creator, a moment, a gesture.
The blog: extending the experience
This blog is a natural extension of our curated collection. A place to explore, contextualize, and share stories.
You will find there:
-
focus on iconic Japanese designers such as Comme des Garçons, Yohji Yamamoto and Issey Miyake,
-
decryptions of rare pieces and high-end Japanese jeans ,
-
stories of sourcing in Asia,
-
reflections on fashion as a language and as a culture.
Thus , the blog extends our curatorial approach and enriches the customer experience.
KIZUNA PARIS is a project in motion. An independent, sensitive, and rigorous perspective.
A place of transmission, style and connection.
Welcome.
