Presented during the fall/winter 2024 runway, this oversized parka from the SACAI x CARHARTT collaboration fuses the utilitarian world of American workwear with designer Chitose Abe's signature stylistic experimentation.
Originally designed for the feminine silhouette, it fully embodies the unisex approach to contemporary fashion: the lines are ample, the volume structured, the finishes technical but not rigid. MA-1-style hybrid sleeves, integrated hood, multiple pockets, co-branded logo—every detail affirms a hybrid aesthetic between raw functionality and urban sophistication.

Launched in 2023, the SACAI x CARHARTT collaboration revisits workwear icons through the prism of Japanese deconstruction. Chitose Abe injects utilitarian clothing with a conceptual and progressive vision, where each piece becomes a stylistic statement. Between working-class heritage, modulated volume, and textile hybridization, this capsule defies the boundaries of gender and use. The parka presented here, seen on the FW2024 runway, is a manifesto of this crossed vision between Detroit and Tokyo.
