Sacai – The art of hybrids between couture and streetwear

Founded in 1999 by former Comme des Garçons collaborator Chitose Abe, Sacai has established itself as one of the most influential Japanese fashion houses of the last twenty years. The designer has developed a unique language based on the hybridization of sartorial codes: blending the elegance of couture with the volumes of sportswear, deconstructing classic pieces to transform them into unique silhouettes.

Showcasing in Paris since 2011, Sacai has established itself as an international benchmark for avant-garde Japanese fashion, while remaining faithful to the Made in Japan craftsmanship. Hybrid jackets, modular coats, and asymmetrical dresses have become recognizable signatures, widely distributed in the world of high-end streetwear.

Sacai's collaborations with Nike, Moncler, Carhartt, and Dior have strengthened its global reputation, confirming its status as a bridge between luxury, design, and urban culture. Today, its pieces from the 2000s–2010s and its limited-edition capsules are among the most sought-after on the Japanese secondhand and archive markets, demonstrating Sacai's central place in contemporary design.
