Yoshiki Hishinuma – Textile Innovation and Transparency
A former collaborator of Issey Miyake, Yoshiki Hishinuma founded his own fashion house in the 1990s. Known for his work with materials, he explores translucent textiles, complex pleats, and layering effects. His creations, somewhere between art and clothing, demonstrate a profound aesthetic research that has made him a Japanese avant-garde designer with cult status.
Hishinuma is part of the tradition of Japanese textile innovation, but with a more artistic and experimental approach. His pieces, often produced in small batches, are rare on the market. Today, they are among the most coveted in the world of Made in Japan fashion archives.
